A conical saddle flask with a silver plated bayonet or captured cap. The cap works well, it is not stamped with a makers name, there is a very small dent in the top of the cap. The flask is made of heavy glass, there is "nibbling" (very small chips in the edge) of the glass at the opening of the flask, the edges are not sharp and there are no cracks spreading from this edge, but please do look at the images. The mahogany colour leather case closes with a billet fastening. The buckle of the top strap is leather covered - a technique used to stop buckles rusting before the advent of stainless steel.
