Sidesaddle Canteen
A tan leather sidesaddle canteen. When I bought this piece the flask had a crack in the glass - the damaged must have occurred quite early in its life, because the case, while vintage, shows hardly any wear at all.
The saddle and girth straps are in excellent condition. The case is lined in doeskin and it has an internal partition.
There is a plated, double hinged sandwich tin, with gilt washed lining. I had a new rectangular section glass flask made to fit the original bayonet or captured cap.
