A Gents Saddle Canteen
This large tan canteen appears unused. Each buckle is covered in leather with tiny stitching, there is also a leather covered D ring for attachment to the girth strap.
It is lined in cream doeskin and has an internal partition.
Inside there is a plated screw topped flask, stamped "Walker & Hall, Sheffield, England 1148. There is also a James Dixon & Sons sandwich tin - this may not be original, the loop to pull it out of the case is on the side, not the top.
This case weighs nearly 1kg when empty, when the flask is full it will be quite heavy
