Chifney Bit

A Chifney bit, with moving arms. This bit is plated over iron or steel, there is quite a lot of flaking & oxidation.

The various Chifney bits were invented by Samuel Chifney, a jockey who lived from 1753 to 1807. He is depicted in a painting of the Prince of Wales' horse Baronet, by George Stubbs.

Shipping

I will charge actual shipping costs (usually First Class with insurance), with no additional handling fees. I have quoted the cost for the UK - please email me for other destinations. I am happy to combine shipping costs if more than one item is bought.

Refunds

I am quite happy to refund payment (minus shipping costs) if you are not happy with an item for any reason & contact me (promptly please) & return it. If I've described it inaccurately, I'll refund the shipping cost as well. If there has been damage in transit, please keep the item and the packaging until we have sorted out the insurance.
