Brazilian Horse bit with decorative cheeks
A white metal (? silver / nickel silver?) horse bit. Each cheekpiece is finely cast with floral decoration, (possibly a cornucopia or horn of plenty) they unscrew so that a mouthpiece can be attached. The curb and slobber / shackle chains have hooks fashioned as hands. There are no maker's marks, but a zigzag pattern on the inside of each cheekpiece. There is a split in the spiral of the left cheekpiece.
