This is an oddity. Bits with pistol shaped cheekpieces were not that uncommon in the U.S., makers such as Ricardo and Buermann certainly produced some.
This one however, was made in England, one can just make out the "Made in England" and "Reg.d Design" stamps as well as a maker's stamp "S.B.".
The bit is made of nickel, the mouthpiece has a low port. I think the mouthpiece has bent downwards - a weakness of nickel. Each cheekpiece is fairly simply shaped like a pistol. There is a hatched pattern over the handle. Both curb hooks remain
Mouthpiece 14cm (5½")
Cheeks 21.5cm (8½") long x 10cm (4") wide
