An antique burnished steel bit. A rather delicate bit in appearance, with small bit rings - possibly a check bit.
The ends of the mouthpiece are drawn backwards, rather like a Scamperdale pelham - on close inspection one can see the laminar lines in the steel where it has been drawn back.
It is stamped Latchford & Piccadilly - possibly later than "The Loriner"'s publication from St Martin's Lane.
Dimensions : mouthpiece 12.5cm (5"), rings 4cm (1½")
