This old steel bit has a Segundo mouthpiece with a port that closes in on itself at its base. The cheek is faintly stamped "Latchford", Benjamin Latchford published the catalogues / book "The Loriner" , which includes Don Juan Segundo's "A Treatise on the Suitable Bitting of Horses". It is in good condition under the light surface oxidation. The cheeks cannot rotate at present. These bits are often stamped on the port, no stamp is visible on this example.
