A fairly crudely carved saddle, I know nothing of its origin or age. This has had some use, the seat has become highly polished through wear. Points where leather thongs were attached can be seen. Recently I have seen two similar saddles at auction, one catalogued as a donkey saddle and one catalogued as from the South Pacific. Ref : saddle001 |
