South American Saddle

This saddle consists of two leather pads tied together with rawhide. It has stirrups with leather covers - tapaderas. A cinch or girth would have tied around the outside of the saddle to hold it in place. It would have been used with blankets and/or skins underneath it and on top to act as padding
