An old Mexican saddle with characteristic flat circular pommel covered in rawhide. This is a nineteenth century saddle, its leather is worn in places, it was heavily decorated with tooling, and had many conchos with a horse design - three of these are missing. It still has one of its stirrups with leather covering or tapadero. This saddle came from the sale of Potters Museum of Curiosities, Jamaica Inn, Cornwall |
