Pair of reproduction 16th or 17th century spurs for film or theatre costume
A pair of gilded decorated spurs. These spurs are made from a very light metal - I think they were made for a stage or film costume. They have cast decoration on their arms, flower shaped buttons or studs and very ornate buckles (copies of a sixteenth or seventeenth century style). There are a few fatigue marks in the metal of one spur - they would be great for display, but not strong enough for use.
Dimensions : 4½" long not including the neck or rowel x 3" (77mm)wide inside arms
