This spur dates from the 15th Century.
It has an eight pointed rowel that still turns freely, the neck of the spur is angled downwards and is quite long.
The narrow arms curve deeply downwards to accomodate the wearer's ankle bone, each arm ends in a two eyelets which form a figure of eight.
The spur still has one swinging hook for the attachment of straps
The whole spur is made of iron or steel, it is in excavated but stable condition
