A Brazilian "Conquistador" stirrup by Eberle

A white metal "Conquistador" style stirrup. (More information about Conquistador stirrups here Stamped on its base with a knotted horn and the number 296, plus "Eberle" the maker and "Alpacca" the alloy of copper, nickel and zinc that the stirrup is made from. Eberle were a well known company of Brazilian silversmiths in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. On its upper surface it bears a Brazilian emblem plus the legend "Estados Unidos do Brasil, 15 de Novembro de 1889" This decoration appears to have been applied by hand using a nail. The design is also seen on Brazilian cavalry bits and stirrups - this could have been a military stirrup or a souvenir.

Shipping

I will charge actual shipping costs (in this case First Class recorded with insurance), with no additional handling fees. I have quoted the cost for the UK - please email me for other destinations. I am happy to combine shipping costs if more than one item is bought.

Refunds

I will refund payment (minus shipping costs) if you are not happy with an item for any reason & contact me (promptly please) & return it. If I've described it inaccurately, I'll refund the shipping cost as well. If there has been damage in transit, please keep the item and the packaging until we have sorted out the insurance.
