These slipper shaped stirrups are made of a white metal, nickel . Each is stamped with a knotted horn, "297", "Solid nickel" & "Eberle" - the manufacturer. The shape of the stirrups prevents the rider getting their foot trapped through the stirrup, and gives some protection from undergrowth (& weapons). There is a circular hole in the base of each, which would allow water to drain out.
The fronts of these stirrups have stamped flowers & leaves as decoration.
