A Military Hinged Safety Stirrup

The arch of this white metal stirrup is hinged, so that the top can move backwards or forwards.
Presumably this was a safety device to avoid the danger of being dragged.
The base is stamped "Hawkins" and "Never Rust" as well as "J.H." with an ordnance mark - this stirrup was military issue. Dimensions : 5" (125mm) x 4¼" (110mm) x 1¾" (45mm)

Shipping

I will charge actual shipping costs (in this case Special Delivery with insurance), with no additional handling fees. I have quoted the cost for the UK - please email me for other destinations. I am happy to combine shipping costs if more than one item is bought.

Refunds

I will refund payment (minus shipping costs) if you are not happy with an item for any reason & contact me (promptly please) & return it. If I've described it inaccurately, I'll refund the shipping cost as well. If there has been damage in transit, please keep the item and the packaging until we have sorted out the insurance.
