A 17th Century Mughal stirrup. Christies sold an almost identical pair in 2010 (details here)
It is heavy and cast in bronze, there is some verdigris on it. It has a rectangular tread or footplate. Each side is rectangular and is pierced, there is a head of a mythical creature ( dragon ? Moomin? ) on each side, and a bird on each side of the rectangular suspension loop.
