These brass stirrups have traces of gilding remaining. They are extremely heavy, I suspect they were only used for parades or cermonial occasions.
They are safety stirrups, the arches can pull apart and the footplates are hinged. The arches are cast with oak leaves, acorns and laurel branches. I have seen similar decoration on British Officers dress spurs.
There are no maker's marks or stamps
