Antique Gold Mounted Gents Schooling Whip

This is a 19th century gents schooling or park whip.
The cap and collar are made of a gold coloured metal (not hallmarked). These have foliate decoration. The cap has a shield in which the name "H.Holmes" and a rampant lion are engraved.
The grip or handle of the whip is covered in braided whalebone. The shaft or stock is covered in braided linen. The whip still has its original rawhide and silk lash.
This is a robust whip, it was designed to be used without removing one's hands from the reins to deliver a flick.

Shipping

I will charge actual shipping costs (usually Special Delivery with insurance), with no additional handling fees. I have quoted the cost for the UK - please email me for other destinations. I am happy to combine shipping costs if more than one item is bought.

Refunds

I will refund payment (minus shipping costs) if you are not happy with an item for any reason & contact me (promptly please) & return it. If I've described it inaccurately, I'll refund the shipping cost as well. If there has been damage in transit, please keep the item and the packaging until we have sorted out the insurance.
