Antique Sidesaddle Whip with Gold Collar & Cap
This whip has 15 carat gold collar and finial, hallmarked 1865. 15 carat gold was only used between 1854 and 1932. The handle of the whip is covered in cream coloured braided whalebone, the shaft of the whip is whalebone covered in braided linen. It still has its original wrist strap. It is missing its silk or cord lash from its very tip but the overall condition is very good. The lash can be replaced either with a cord lash, or a narrow leather keeper - please contact me about this.

A superb 140 year old whip in great condition, this would look fantastic in a side saddle costume class.
