Small Swaine Vintage Leather Hunting Whip - Sold
View BasketThis whip has an antler or staghorn handle with a raised "gatepusher" section.
There is a silver button on the heel of the staghorn, this is stamped "Swaine & Adeney Ltd."
It has a silver collar, this is hallmarked London 1936 and engraved with the initials "E.V." and 1936
There are a few dings and scratches on the collar.
The shaft or stock is covered in chestnut coloured leather, there is a scuff near the top.
The whip has a replacement stitched leather keeper at its end.
It has a braided leather thong, there is a bound repair at the top of this.
The thong has a loop braided into its end which could hold a cord lash
