Antique Gents Whip with Gold Cap

This whip has a gold cap engraved “E.L”, and is stamped with the maker's initials “J.S, & S.”, the hallmark is very worn, I can just make out a diamond shape and a 9 or 12 carat mark. The stock is translucent and made of animal material , horn, hide or bull.
