Swaine Ladies Hunting Whip
This small whip has a good staghorn handle with a good patina, the silver Swaine button that would once have sat on the shoulder of the handle is missing, the stud that remains has worn smooth. It has a silver coloured collar which is not hallmarked, so it is probably plated or another white metal, it is stamped "Swaine, Made in England".
The stock or shaft is covered in dark tan plain pigskin leather in good condition. There is the original stitched keeper - in good condition, the binding which holds this on is in perfect condition. There is a complete thong with a loop at the end for attachment of the blue lash.
