Steel lined Ladies Hunting Whip
This whip has a staghorn handle. It has a nickel collar, which is stamped "Steel Lined".
The stock or shaft is covered in braided material - at first I thought it was leather, but on close inspection I think it is catgut or linen, many years of use have given it a really good patina. It has a worn open leather keeper and a thong which needs re-binding into a loop at its end.
