Swaine Ladies' Hunting Whip
This whip has a staghorn handle with a Swaine & Adeney silver button. The whip has a silver collar with thick edges, it is hallmarked London & stamped with the silversmith's initials "ESA", the date mark is too polished to read. It is also stamped "Swaine" and engraved "Barbara Craig 22-4-29".
The stock or shaft is covered in braided leather in good condition. There is the original stitched keeper, this has some surface crackles on one side, but is still strong . There is a thong, complete with red lash.
