Gent's Hunting Whip
This whip has a staghorn handle. There is a crown shaped screw or gatepusher on the top of the handle. The whip has a silver collar hallmarked Birmingham 1933 & stamped with the maker's initials. It is engraved "W.J.R.Beford"
The stock or shaft is covered in braided leather, there is wear to one strand of the braiding which exposes the leather below, but does not compromise the whip. The whip has just come back from the saddler's so there are some "before & after" images below. It has had a new stitched keeper fitted, I have yet to attach the thong.
