Vintage Gents Hunting Crop or Whip by Swaine & Adeney
This whip has a good horn handle.It has two silver collars, hallmarked Birmingham 1933, one collar is stamped "Swaine" and the other engraved "A.R.O.McMillan Nov 1934. There is a silver button stamped "Swaine & Adeney, London".
Between the collars the whip is covered in good quality pigskin, the rest of the shaft of the whip is covered in braided linen or hemp, also in good order. The whip has its original stitched leather keeper which is in very good condition, it has its original thong , but this has broken near its end - it could be repaired or replaced .
Dimensions : Handle 5½" (14cm), length not including keeper 19¼" (49cm), keeper 6" (15cm)
