This long whip dates from the late 19th Century.
It is longer than modern hunting whips.
It has a staghorn handle
It has a long silver collar with deep foliate decoration and a shield shaped cartouche with an engraved monogram.
The shaft or stock is made of golden-brown malacca cane with an attractive "clouded" finish.
There is a leather loop or open keeper at the end of the whip.
It has a long braided thong, but this is frayed at the end.
